Compass is an 18 month project, stimulating the growth of live art in Yorkshire and the Humber through collaboration and connectivity. The aim is to strengthen and sustain the ambitions, diversity and vitality of live art, working with partners across the region on events and projects.

The project is led by a consortium of partners: Sarah Spanton / Waymarking, Annie Lloyd and East Street Arts, who have been closely involved in live art development programmes in the region over the last seven years. In the words of the Consortium

The Compass Programme launches on Thursday 25 November, with a public event at East Street Arts in Leeds, the first in a series of free events to engage and excite the public, showcase local talent, and link the best work nationally and internationally. A special sector meeting also takes place before the event, where organisers will be sharing plans with the live art practitioners and professionals, and launching the new Compass website.
